Anyone on here make coon skin hats out of coons that we kill? I know you can buy them but i thought it would be cool to have a couple made out of game we treed and killed. Please let me know. Would also like other coon skin items

I had a coat made in Canada, but that buyer passed away yrs ago. If no one responds, we have a friend that wants to get a beaver coat made for his girlfriend....I can find out where they're planning on getting it made; a friend of his has had coats made for his wife and he said they make hats, too.

I had a coon skin cap made at Wild Things Fur in LaValle WI this past spring. I think it looks great. Check out their site. By the looks of things, they'll make about any kind of hat.

Talked to r friend tonight. He's at camp and only knows that his girlfriend wrote to a place in the TRAPPER AND PREDATOR CALLER. We get it, too. I found 4 places that make things with ur fur. The first 3 places r in NY, the 4th is in WI.

Coon Skin Hat

I made one probably 3-4 years ago now. It was a fun project to do and it came out nice. My parents travel with it when they go to shows. They have had many offers to buy it. I put about 8-10 hours of work into making the hat and designing a pattern. I used the face in mine as well as putting a liner inside.
