First tree tonight the old coon went up the tree the dogs treed on. Then he went out on a limb and dropped down maybe 3 feet to the ground on the other side of the beaver run. This coon has done this for a good few years now. I could get the dogs to the other side but why mess up a good short run and tree.

If they don't jump in the middle of the dogs, I have always called them seed.

I didn't but will the next big one we knock out. Treed one tonight looked as big but we left it. There are some monsters this time of year. I might have to text pics to somebody that know how to post em.
Anything that wasn't born this spring should weigh 20-25 plus right now. They gettin fat for a long nap in a month or so depending on the weather and how long their food sources hold out

watched

I watched one bail out of a tree last night from about 8 feet up. I'd never seen that before. It was amazing. Then did what I believe to be bailing out of 2 more trees. Never did kill him. 3 dogs learned a great lesson last night. It was fun to watch. All dogs are pretty young.
