I did a polygraph test this summer.

They hook you up everywhere! blood pressure cuff, temperature pad under your butt, two metal bands around your chest and back to measure depth changes in your lungs, and heartrate monitor. You look like their sending you back in time to woodstock

if you have a bicuspid valve and have involuntary off- beats in your heart beat,...it will show as if you were lying. But really you're not

Polygrah test

Even in court they are not always admissable, because of just what the above Individual stated. There are a lot of varriables that can affect the out come.

Actually that's outdated polygraph testing, what we have now on the force is just a microphone that can tell by your voice. Yes that's correct hook up a microphone and answer the questions. And it's more accurate than what the above said he had to do which is old school.

so we think a machine is going to say you are telling truth or lying. I have looked at those computer screens and its mostly lines to me. Says nothing. read between them lines on the screen anyway you want. Heck, the guy doing the reading could be lying......or truthful. Who knows?

along with that test was about 300 questions on paper, then a pre-test that set the baseline (8 trues, 2 false), then the real deal. 10 questions asked, then again, then again.

I really don't think UKC wants to do that. If they do it for one person, they gotta do it for every person. and I don't think UKC really wants to know the answer to some questions. Might surprise us all

Youtube has some great ideas. Watch the one with the printer. lmao

Funny Stuff right here!

Yea your right UKC probably doesn't want to fool with it. But Id say that man that got screwed out of that CW when the other dog treed 2 grinners would have loved to see him take one. So he could have advanced on to the Final 4!!! A non hunting judge screws a man from advancing on to the final 4 of the world hunt because he probably got paid 500 or better and some of you'll try to just sweep it under the rug like no big deal. Bet your numbers are down next year at the world hunt because of this.

Well I guess on this issue I do. There is a reason they are not admissible in court. Because they can fail.
Now I do agree that something should have been done but I don't think a lie detector will do it.

Most people get on this board and brag about having a 70% accurate dog so that tells me that those people dont care to fail 30% of the time so i say yes bring a lie detector in the mix. Ive read where they are 70-75% accurate.

Would it be alright if they issued a lie detector test and it turned out wrong and someone who had worked and spent all that money was not only scratched out of his rightful position but banned like most are saying they should do. When he was given a test that is proven to fail

I was being sarcastic. Its hard to root out liars. They can live amongst us and we may never know it. Chances are theres a dishonest person on this message board probably bashing the very person that made the bad call at the world hunt. Its a shame to say but lieing and cheating is the same whether your lieing to win a cast or lieing to sale a dog or slamming on your brakes in front of the cop to make him think your doing the speed limit. Just so happens that this cheater showed up at the world hunt.

This is simple they cannot issue tests because everyone would fail everyone always says he or she has never done that before and numerous other lies that are strictly coon hunter related such as that's not my dog he is still treed there could be a coon there and so on

1st seriously why should you need one , you have a non hunting judge with nothing to gain in the only hunts that matter and at what point would you have to subject them to a test, They may have had one make a mistake but I bet he will never judge again or at least not at the world

Where did all the fun go in hunting a dog in the night hunts. You win some and lose some... I know my days of competing in large hunts is over do to health reasons but if I was young again and read this thread I would look at spending money on a diffrent hobby.
It is still a hobby correct?

the hobby part of it was what got people involved to start with. But i bet there was t many hobbyist in the last two rounds of the world hunt. When you start paying handlers and spending 10 or 15 k on a dog its no longer a hobby but a way of life or a job or something. jmo

Competition hunters apparently suck. I will just stick to true hunting where if you don't have the coon you don't succeed.
