I can't believe that Corey said/posted that. If Calli wins the World Championship, will the NRCA only give her $2,500 or 1/2 of the prize money set aside for the first "Redbone" to win the World?

Well, I wasn't going but after Fri night I decided to give it a try. So I reserved a room in Elkin, North Carolina today. I have a "history" in Elkin. That is where Ol' Ranger got in. I sure could use that $5,000.

Oh my goodness, I just saw the #'s on the front page. 644 dogs entered and only one will be the winner. That is not very good odds. And only 12 out of 75 from Elkin, NC will go to the Finals. It is sure going to take a good dog and a lot of luck.

It looks like 5 Redbones out of 124 dogs will be in LaGrand, Iowa. Two Redbones advanced to the Finals from LaGrand last year and they are both going to be there this year. Will they both repeat?

To all that are heading to the zones this weekend. I'm excited to see what happens here in Iowa. There is some real Redbone power in that hunt. No disrespect to any of the zones or dogs but the two biggest zone hunts are certainly very well represented by the Redbone breed.

Oh my goodness, just look at that "List". There sure are some big name Redbones there. How many of them go back to Gr Nt Nighty Nite Moonlight Kate? It sure looks like she was a reproducer of reproducers. How many of them are Peppers? I only see 3 that are grandpups of Gr Nt T-Top Rabble. How many of the Redbones are going to advance to the Finals? Who all will be making the trip to Greencastle? I am starting to get excited. Maybe this is "really" going to be the year.
