Catching Kittens

Anyone else having there dogs catch kittens on the ground right now? Our public land has opened and my young dog caught three on the ground and treed 5 last night. I seen 5 walking together through the woods and here he came. I caught him and led him away before he killed those. We hunted from a boat and when we got out of the truck there were 4 kittens playing around the boat ramp. We hunted a different spot 2 nights ago and we seen 4 different grown coon walking through the woods right by us while the dog was 500 yards treed. Crazy

.

You went to hunt the land of OZZ but perhaps got confused and read the sign wrong and stopped at the ZOO.

I have been watching a group of 4 kittens for about 6 weeks now. First seen them at high noon in a ditch. Now when I go in that area I can usually find them up a tree somewhere. Haven't put dog in that area yet but it won't be long. lol

Sounds like you had a great couple of nights.

Mine have been very busy hunting baby kits, they bring home 1 or 2 a day. They wised up & stopped bringing them into the yard, now bring half eaten ones out of the corn. Who knows how many they have killed outback. They free range 1000 acres that has an overpopulation of coons. The neighbors welcome the dogs & will hunt over them if the farmer hears them treed on their land.

Every couple of days someone stops by the store with a story about my girls. One old lady complained that she hadn't seen or heard Grace for awhile & asked if she was okay.
