Were not looking to do a big campaign on a stud dog. Just looking to get a nice female or 2 bred for a pup back over the next couple years.
Duke goes hunting well alone or with company. Will tree close to the truck or go deep if need be. Has no trouble running with the pack on a hot coon, but will get by himself a high percentage of the time. When hunted by himself hes a fairly accurate dog, when turned loose with company he is very competative and looks to get treed and will miss from time to time. Runs track with bawl mouth. Big bawl locates and rolls over to a hard, loud, steady chop. He is a treedog and when he rolls it over right he is there to stay and frieght train wont move him. Treed his 1st coon on his own just shy of 6 months old. He is far from perfect but has been an action packed hound thats made something happen everytime hes been turned loose.
I got him started here when he was young and have hunted him when i can, but have to give all credit to his titles to friend, partner and handler Ken Kinnear. Hes put on alota miles and wore out boots and a truck beatn the bush with this hound to get him to where he is.
Also must give credit to mr. Bill Hubbard for crossing 2 coondogs that come from generations of reproducing coondogs.
Have 1 litter on the ground out of Dave Huttons Whitey female(gaugeŚmempis). They are not 6 months yet and the one we kept has been a natural so far and treed a couple lead coons already. The rest that have been messed with so far was getting good reports last we herd blowin up a cage coon at a very young age
Living in ontario canada we are certainly not in a convenient area for breeding. But if anyone was interested in breeding, and it was the right kind of female, we would be willing to work together with them to do what it takes to make it happen.
Thanks for reading.
