Sd card

What size sd card is best for a garmin 320, I read somewhere that it can only read 8gb at a time, so am I better off with 2 8gb? Or just a 16, or several 4gb. Also what speed card.

I use 2 gig. You can use up to a 8 gig but it can take up to fifteen minutes to load when you turn It on, each time. I just load 2 gig area and switch cards for different areas.

I have a 32 gig in mine , with 26 gigs of birdseye down loaded on it ,, I turn it on with in 2 min its tracking

I will have to try it Darrell. Garmin told me do not go over 8 gig. because it will give you the problems I said in my last post.

Jim I only have 8 gigs or so with High resolution some of it is Medium and most is Low ,, I have had mine 4 years in the beginning it was slow but after a month or so it started reading the card faster, and now it takes maybe 2 min to load , It also helps to have a good sim card

I have all medium resolution on my cards. But I am going to do some experimenting on a 8 gig card. Darrell you got me thinking now because it sure would be nice not to change cards all the time.
