Nice Hunt last night
I just wanted to share, you know that feeling you get when a young hound really starts putting it all together. Well here was my hunt from last night, Abel,16mth male out of diggers mable x boomin jet . Hunting him by himself,first drop went out about 400 got struck, run it down and caught it on the ground. HE is not a kill dog by any means lol , keeps it bayed but I think he figures I caught it,you kill it. 2nd dump turned loose on the edge of a corn field,deer running everywhere one ran right in front of him at about 20 yds while I had my light on it and finger on the hot button but he never gave me a reason to push it just looked at it and turned bout 45 degrees to the right and went in about 300 and got struck ran the track real well and got treed with the coon on the outside. 3rd drop he went out hunting good and was gone for a good while and barked twice and locked up treed at about 600 yds down the creek. He had another on the outside. Time to go home and end on a good note. I dang sure aint bragging on him cause he still has a lot of polishing to do to make him shine but I just wanted to share my hunt. He is really coming along nice and I think he is gonna make a good one. I was just really pleased caught 1,ran 1,didnt run junk and layed 1 up all at 16mths and a blue dog to boot lol I never thought I would see the day.
