What Blue stud produces these traits ?

Good looking
Big mouth
Hard tireless hunter
Quick, but honest strike dog
Chop mouth treedogs

Dogs that are a pleasure to hunt that can compete at any level.
No white Blueticks
No Walker headed , or in the blue dog world " monkey faced "
No Dewclaws
No glass eyes
No foxhound muzzles
No known issues

Thanks for your time and information.

I'm sure he does and I appreciate the help , but he charges a different stud fee for different Nite hunt credentials on the females bred.
I don't agree with that.
Thanks .

Not trying to start something, but what studs don't have pups that are born with dew claws?

I think it may be hard to find the perfect stud but you can't fault a guy for being very selective. I appreciate it and think the breed can only improve from decisions like this. Continue your search Jeremiah and good luck.

Has anyone hunted with anything out of the Amos dog ?

Mr. Murdock , I like the dog we bought out of Boomer extremely well.

I'm glad to know there's one out of a different female that's available for stud.
Thanks .

Don't take this the wrong way , but a $ investment and a worn out pickup will not achieve the genetic traits I'm looking for. You can do as you wish as you own the dog . Thanks . I used to think everyone else had a strange outlook !
Maybe it's me ! That's just the way I feel about it .

Yes Sir , the Utchmans Amos dog .
I know , a lot of people like the Utchmans stock , but when I set out to find a good blue dog , I started trying Utchman studded offspring , man I wish I would have found out about the mothers to them , they just weren't what I was lookin for .
I just hear people talk about the mouths on the Bodacious bred dogs .
And I have talked to a reliable source that speaks highly of him .

just a suggestion but look into holly creek smokey.bo dotson. i have hunted with & owned a lot of his offspring. my view they are good looking, loud, well rounded offspring. its hard to put it all under 1 collar but i agree with you in that you can't start with faulty genetics and expect to get what you are happy with.

I don't think Amos is actually uchtman bred, just purchased by one of the uchtman at some point in time. Call Randy Arnold in Arkansas, he knows Amos well.

No matter what a stud throws, the female also contributes to the puppies, and alot say more than the 50%... Make sure the female has exactly the same traits you want do it would increase your odds. IMO
