best traps I have ever seen or owned came from diamond deluxe, no trip plate, the trip was a basket that bait went in.

They also made them with a back door on them, optinal of course for more $, dang worth it, easy to remove critter without use of water gun.

Haven't seen the Freedom brand, still using my Diamond Deluxe that is oh 15 yrs old?

I have one thats over 20 yrs old. A deen good one. Has outlasted 20 tractor supply and havahart traps. A local trapper made them Bob Young. I just got the one though. Its caught no telling how many. I dont guess it had a name though.
