Dave's Ohio Pistol

This Pup is out of Brownie/Annie and he's 4 months old and treed this squirrel a lone. He has treed 7 squirrels now. First time I didn't have a gun, second time I couldn't get a shot, but today it all came together. Fist time he got a hold of a squirrel and he put the teeth to it.

I Love this pup. To check his Ped go the Brownie/ Annie post. He's Double Pistol Pete and double Kruz's Radar. Nuff Said. Better get you some Brownie will not live for ever. Dave Woofter Bristol Ridge Kennels New Lexington Ohio

Pistol

Dave that sure is a good looking pup! Sounds to me like he was born with all of the tools. Good luck with Him.

Do you know if the female Kruz's Target goes back to Radar? She is in my females pedigree.

Take Care,
Scott

Target

Scott I believe Target was out of Kruz's Radar and Troyer's Lady. Some places Kruz is spelled Krusz Radar. I don't know the reason for that. My good Friend Mr. Johnson owned a Male that was out of Kruz's Radar that I hunt with Many times and he was one of the best ( Buster ). I have some pictures of him. I will post one of them and Mr. Johnson knew of the Target dog and always had High Praise for the dog. I love the looks of your little dog. These are real fun dogs that like to please. Bill Goode has hunted with Brownie feel free to ask him about Brownie if you have any interest. Good Luck with your feist. Dave P.S. If I remember right one time Target was bred to Hystyle Cadilac Jack.

Thanks Dave

I appreciate the information on the Kruz dogs. There is a Bounce dog in Pebbles pedigree that was out of the Jack and Target cross. I would love to breed to Breed her to a nice dog like Brownie some day. I will sure keep that in mind.
Thanks Again,
Scott

BUSTER

Mr. Johnson,Buster,Me,and the Squirrels I killed with Buster one Morning in the North/East corner of Ohio. I got two Black squirrels that Morning and gave them to the land owner as she wanted to mount them. Buster's Dam was out of Target and her name was Johnson's Lady his sire Kruz's Radar. Buster got killed on the road at 8 years old but Mr. Johnson had him fixed and never bred him. He would leave the farm every time a female came in heat two or three mile away and Mr. Johnson wanted to leave him run loose on his farm so he had him fixed. What a shame and Mr. Johnson knew that later. Great Little dog. We went over and hunt with Ed Bates and his dogs and Buster did himself proud. Dave P.S. Mr. Johnson died of a stroke a few years back and I miss him. He was also a big walker man. Had some good ones.

Dave you are correct, target is out of radar and troyers lady, she is also the 1995 NKC C&F Breeders winner.

She was also breed to cadillac jack which produced Oak Hill Rowdy

Dave thanks for asking. She has started radiation and has a port put in tomorrow for the chemo. Staying really tired but she is a fighter. Still not doing the best but she also has a stong faith in God. We are still asking for prayet and gonna let God's will be done.

Dave Pistol looks good. I raised a liter from cracker and feisty that are about the same age as your pups and 2 of the 3 are starting to tree. Idlike to one day be able to cross some of mine with yours

Wife

We will sure continue to remember her in Prayer. I would like that Luther as I also like the way your feists are bred. I used to say I only like the Red and Brown ones but now I love the dark Brindle also.LOL! Pistol took the color out of it for me. The only problem I have is he's to small for a mini tracking collar yet and I am afraid of loosing him. He will hunt. I have my name wrote on his collar and my phone number but I hate to hunt with out a tracker. Brownie will do every thing you tell him but I still have a tracker on him. Dave

Prayers

Luther, I hope your wife gets to feeling better.

Dave, Do you have a pedigree on the Radar dog that your pups are line bred on? I noticed on a number of these fiests they will have distant relatives listed as "unknown". Just wondering if the record keeping took a second place to ability?

Thanks,
Scott

Troyers lady that was also mentioned earlier is also a half sister to radar by their sire and the dame is kruzs tina. Tina is out of kruzs bobbie and kruzs whistle.

Hope that helps some. I believe thays all the info I have but may vould find more if I searched a little.

Brownie/Annie

Scott I don't know if you checked Bristol Ridge Feists or not but Annie and Brownie's Dad ( Romensko's Radar ) Are Both out of Pistol Pete and their Dams are sisters. The sisters are out of Sheba and she is out of Kruz's Radar. I checked on the Double R Rascal dog and he was some dog in Arkansas. He won almost everything. He was brown in color. He is the sire to Brownie Dam. I believe my Pistol pup to be bred about as good as it gets if you like Pistol Pete and Kruz's Radar stuff. Annie had two Dark Brindles-two brown -two brown brindle like herself. Dave

Thanks

Thanks Dave and Jesse,
That is a lot of information on the pedigrees. I am always interested on how certain dogs and lines are bred through their ancestors. Also was wondering if my female went back to the Radar dog as far as any cross in the future on her.
Take Care,
Scott

Pistol

Pistol treed one Gray squirrel I seen this evening and when I went into the second tree a bunch of Turkeys flew up and then one flew out of the tree he was treed on so I don't know what he treed there. I never did see a squirrel but it was an oak tree but I am thinking he treed the big Bird.

Thanks Red Fever

Angel, Pistol and me. We got a little wet.
I was real proud of Pistol tonight as he treed two Grays and a fox squirrel I took his sister Angel with him tonight and she was at the trees but didn't bark. I shot the fox squirrel out of a big Hickory and it hit the ground a live and the two pups were all over it. I got the gun stock on it's neck so it wouldn't bite them to much. The Gray squirrels wouldn't hold still for a shot. Second Gray squirrel went up a small tree out in front of me and then jumped to a den tree and Pistol moved right with him. It was raining and Pistol did so good I shot up in the tree and threw the fox squirrel and let it fall to him. Go Pistol. Dave

Pistol is no Brownie yet but he's the best pup I ever had at 4 months old. He will be staying here I would guess. I believe Pistol will be as good as his Dad some day. Dave

Treed two Gray squirrels this morning and also treed across a deep Hollow and he left before I got there. I don't know why. I thought I had a perfect pup. LOL! Dave

Copper

Bill I hope Copper starts early like Pistol did but I had Pistol to the woods several times before he treed. I have been taking them since they were little pups. On Tuesday Pistol treed two Gray squirrels but the last one he treed I didn't know where he was for 15 to 20 minutes so I don't know when I will take him again. I went and bought a t-5 mini collar today but I think he's still a little small for it. He usually comes good when you call him but he's got to hunting a little harder also and I don't want to lose him. His sister Angel is hunting good also but hasn't treed yet. Dave
