My uncle has a female that is a few days from having pups
And her back legs are swollen. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen and if so suggestions would be appreciated on what to do about it.

I had a female that did that and she had an infection. It turned up in her milk and I lost most of the litter. I'd get her to the Vet as soon as posible.

I had one that happened to. Every time she came in heat her back legs got a little bigger. When I bred her the same thing happened. Turned out to be cancer. Every time her hormones changed, her cancer grew. I had to have her put down during her pregnancy. Hated to do it
