I go to Dolly Wood every yr, this is a great time to go. I understand they have a new wooden roller coaster, not sure if it is done yet, but the one they already had is a good alternative to a chiropractor. Lots of fun there, and you can ask any vendor there for a glass of water and it is free!! Lots of nice folks there and great family fun. Dixie Stampede is a lot of fun and good eats.

Have fun, beautiful place yr round. If you are staying in a cabin, and leave out some food or trash chances are you will see a bear they are thick there. Like robgregory said, take some long clothing.

Come on west a couple more hrs and I will show you some nice blue dogs

I live in Greenbrier county WV and in the last week the leaves have really turned. A lot of them are falling now. If TN is anything like here is now you timed it perfect.

Ray I live in Overton County, TN we are west and north of Gatlinburg above Cookeville, TN. TN is not really known for fall colors even when its a ideal weather situation watering trees and ground. We just don't get those fall colors like the northern states. I have noticed the timber foliage has thinned quite a bit. Still green but thinning. Have fun in Gatlinburg my wife and I go there quite a bit. Its crowded but we have figured out how to enjoy it there.

Hey lee , every thing was good in TN , not much color in the flat lands abut up in the higher hill it was pretty nice not completely painted yet but still it was nice , we saw a whole heard of Elk, two Black bear and droves of Turkeys, overall a nice trip

Been a few bear killed recently in my county this year they are populating. I made my way to Ann Arbor for work this week and it is beautiful fall colors this year. TN doesn't have many maple trees mostly oaks I think that's why we loose color. Glad you had a good time.
