Crickett Rifle

They are terrible. Takes multiple well placed shots to knock out a average size coon. We tried this route for convenience and weight reduction and went right back after multiple coon took way to many shots. Plus the single shot option is terrible having to reload and take the light off the coon when it might move while trying to reload and not find it again in these leaves.

cricket

The one I bought had a peep sight on it. I had trouble seeing the glowing coon eye through the hole in the rear peep sight aperture. I wound up putting a v notch rear sight on it. Being a single shot didn't help it either. I finally sold it.

I've hunted with a chipmunk 22 with a scope for over 20 years and love it... I carry it in an old padded case that came with a wildlife tracking system. Throw it across your back and take off.

I put a scope on mine and love it. I don't know how accurate I would be with open sights at night even if they were fiber optic. With the scope its dead on and the size makes it easy to carry. I don't particularly like dealin with the single shot but the good outweighs the bad.

thompson|center makes one called the "HOTSHOT" that breaks open like a single shot shotgun.same size as the cricket and very easy to load .especially in cold weather and for old folks like me.think you will like this more if you like a single shot.very accurate and easy on the back for carrying long distances.

I just got a cheap Tasco 3-9x40 rifle scope on mine. I had a 22 scope I could've put on it but figured I'd have a better view with the full size scope. lol
