Young pup question

I'm sure it's been answered a lot on here but I was just looking for a few opinions. I've got a 6 month old Albert bred pup that I'm just beginning to work with. She's been taught all the basic commands and stuff. I take her on walks in the woods about 3 times a week and she gets to run free alot. I haven't done much with her as far as working with a coon besides letting her track and tree a fresh hide. She'll track and tree it pretty decently but she won't bark a lick. My question is is it too early to show her a live coon? I've read the wick books and he says to not mess with em with coon until they get upwards of a year. Should I just continue with basic commands and let her be a pup until she matures some more?

I'm just commenting to follow along to see what everyone says. About 6 month is probably when I showed mine a caged coon and he went absolutely crazy and has been coon crazy ever since.

After that I started working with drags and cutting loose caged coon etc.

I set a few live traps last night trying to get some Coons out of my neighbors garbage. If I catch one I'll show it to her and see what her reaction is
