This isn't a typical which one question it's a what do you think. I have a f150 with a tonneau cover. Has anyone made a front frame that would mount from bedside to bedside with 2 doors and a divider. Basically what it would be is a front with a divider in the middle no sides,top or bottom. I would use the bed as a box and leave the tailgate down. Any suggestions is helpful I use the cover to haul stuff and keep it dry and don't want to be taking it off and on.

You could have a box company like Diamond Deluxe make a box. I had one made that has a center divider that is as high as the truck bed but reduces down to slide under my tool box in the front of the bed. The tailgate end is as wide as the truck bed where the tailgate latches. You could make one similar with the center divider to the height of the bed and at the tailgate make it as wide as the bed. From the back mine looks like a regular box. You could put eye bolts in the bottom rail on the inside and attach to the lower tie down hooks inside the truck bed to keep it from sliding out.

If you can make a door similar to the doors that come on regular dog boxes shouldn't be a problem. The center divider in mine is expanded metal mesh. I'm to dumb to attach pictures on this site. I wouldn't think it would be as hot as cramming a dog in a regular dog box.
I rode on a cast with a fellow that had a set up cover like yours and used a non storage box. I think it was an Owens but I am sure they are all the same height.

owens makes d.i.y. kit which includes face with 2 doors plus vents and trim you can see at www.owens products.com then modify to fit your needs
I really doubt they would get enough air like that.You could make a over the rail dog box like a lot deer and fox hunters use.Same principle of what you are thinking about.But raise that cover up about six inches or so about the sides of the truck bed.Just do a search on google or whatever for over the rail dog boxes and you will see a few styles of them.

I had an avalanche that had the cover and that is exactly what I did. I made it to where the tailgate would still shut and when I had dogs in there id just leave the tail gate down. They got plenty of air. Just made mine from wood but I thought it worked great.

I just about killed the best dog I ever had by hauling with a topper and tailgate down. It created a vacuum for carbon monoxide. Don't know if a bed cover would be the same or not. Dog came out drooling and staggering around. He was fine after he was out in the fresh air.
