walking light question

I didn't figure it would do a lot of good to do a search for "lights" here. I would get more hits than i could look through.
I've never had a walking light on a belt light. I'm looking at a K-light. G2 21V five star is $40 cheaper than the G2 21V standard. Only difference is the walking light.
Does anyone actually find the walking light handy enough to drop an extra $40?
Thanks.

Agreed. Many years ago with a big box light it did come in handy ONCE when the battery had gone so weak it would only operate the walking light so I could get back out.

Some states mandate a continuously burning light when hunting at night. The walk lights were originally provided to fulfill that mandate. Beyond that, they don't have much practical value.

Thanks for the replies. I ordered the one without the walking light.
Groworg1, I hadn't thought of that. But in Michigan we have the right to retrieve our dogs. Still, it's better to do it discreetly.

the only light that ever had a decent walking light was the sunburst eagles.. these other bag o battery belt lights have the most worthless walking light ever.. don't waste your money. if you aint ever had one or used a good one you wont miss it .

the kelly g2 set up is awesome light ive had several but that small walk light is useless.

jim, never knew about continuous light law but probably why so many had them.

i was lucky enough to see a lot of lights go and have been running superior spider eye plus cap and belt lights for some time. number one reason was wide flood walk positon on both lights. all the way bright is perfect for walking anywhere, all the way down is dim enough to sneak around if need be. LOL. must be real deal all the new lights from most manufacturers have same feature....

Ditto. Sunburst's was the best. I was a bit disappointed by the walk light on my K-Light, it's ok, but not nearly what Sunbursts was.
