Need Some Help

My male figured out how to open the Kennel gate yesterday. He got in with my son's 13 month old female who is in heat. I do not know if her got her or not. I was going to the Vet this morning to get her the morning after shot. To make a long story short 9 local vet offices say they now longer care it and all they want to do is spay them. Liberal idiots. I had some other choice words also.
Do any of you guys have an idea on what I can give her to fix this issue without hurting her. We had wanted to breed her in the future once she made Nite Ch. but not right now when she is so young.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The shot is only 50% effective and there are many many side effects, especially in a 13 mos old female. The odds of her getting pregnant are probably only about 50/50. I would just wait and deal with the pups if she does have any.

like he said..

.those shots have caused females to abort pups the rest of her life .

been there and had it happen to me,,wont never do it again evan if could get the shot.

if she took, just keep eye on her if she has trouble having the pups..

.if you wanted to breed her to something else ,you still can but have to dna the pups to get right papers on each pup.

Yeah on what he said about shot but Id say 50/50 aint right on being pregnant. Cause you say you didnt want her bred yet. So that automatically means she is bred

I got a female the morning after shot and it messed her up bad. The vet warned me, but I did it anyway. It messed up her cycle. She would start to come in and not get fully in heat. Then two weeks later she would do it again. There's a reason they took it off the market.

Pyro!

one of the worst effects of the so called mis-mate shot is Pyrometria.
almost without fail, the females will get it and you will have the screwed up heat cycles then you have a very strong chance of loosing her.
let her have pups and deal with them as you see fit.
surely you could find some young fellows to take the pups.

Listen to all this advice and you will be glad you did. I gave the shot to my female on BAD advice from a vet. She had false pregnancy's for a year and messed her up in the woods for a year. You cant mess with mother nature.
