I spent a fair amount of time there when I was in college. Really nice woods. I would think you'd be able to tree a few there.

THERE ARE A GOOD FEW LOCAL GUYS WHO HUNT THERE. ROUGH COUNTRY IF YOU GET AGAINST THE MT. I HAVE HUNTED WITH THEM.

HUNTED IN A HUNT THERE WHEN A LAND OWNER SHOT A DOG.

IF I WERE YOU HUNT DURING THE WEEK, ALOT OF CARS ON WEEKENDS, ESPECIALLY DURING FISHING SEASON.

I HAVE HUNTED IT WITH MY FRIENDS. WE TREE A FEW. HAVE HAD NIGHTS WHEN WE NEVER GET A BARK. AS FOR COON CRAWLING ALL OVER BANKS CAN NOT SAY I HAVE SEEN IT. IF DOGS GO TO TOP OF MOUNTAIN AND THEY DO IT IS ROUGH IN PLACES. NO WAY TO DRIVE UP. THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME PORKIES, I HAVE HAD TO PULL QUILLS A FEW TIMES. I KNOW IN KILL SEASON THEY HIT IT PRETTY HARD. SEVERAL GUYS LIVE CLOSE BY AND IT IS A CLOSE PLACE FOR THEM TO HUNT ON WORK NIGHTS. AND FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN THEY ALL TEND TO HUNT THE SAME SPOTS.

NOW THIS IS NOT MY PLACE TO HUNT, I ONLY GO THERE WHEN INVITED BY MY FRIEND WHO HUNTS THERE ALWAYS. GOODLUCK AND I SURE HOPE YOU DO NOT SEE ANY PORKIES.

WHAT PART OF PA ARE YOU FROM.??

you should message mnash88 on here. I'm sure she's somewhat familiar with it. She went to same college as me and spent time there as well and still lives in the area. She probably still hunts it some, but she has blue dogs so there should still be plenty of coons.

I believe it's all public property, owned by Evitts Creek Water because it's the lakes are the water supply to the city of Cumberland. It's about 3600 acres of land from what I remember.

LMAO Ken you should post that comment on that thread about track speed. I waited all evening for juicy comments to pop up on that one and they never did.
I felt a little left down by that. LOL

NO IT IS NOT ALL OPEN TO PUBLIC. THERE ARE TRACTS OF PRIVATE OWNED LAND. THAT IS WHAT WE HAD HAPPEN THE NIGHT MY BUDDIES DOG WAS SHOT N KILLED. TRAILED ON TO PRIVATE AND TREED, LAND OWNER SHOT HIM AND TRIED TO TO THE OTHER " WAL CUR". AND THE GUIDE HAD TALKED TO HIM AND GOTTEN PERMISSION. I ALSO BELIEVE THERE IS A PRIVATE HUNTING CLUB THERE SOMEWHERE WHO OWN A LARGE PORTION.
