Try putting a muzzle on him for awhile to give his vocal cords time to recover. It is common for young hounds to bark 24/7 and lose their voice. Sometimes all they need is rest and wearing a muzzle can get them out of the habit of barking all the time. Do NOT use a electric bark collar. I had a dog become silent on the ground using a no bark in the kennel. Im sure you will hear different opinions on that.......everyone has an opinion.

Almost everyone uses a bark collar

Start with lemon juice and honey, plus make sure he rests his voice for a week. If that doesn't work, give him prednisone for a couple weeks.
