WATCHED THESE BIRDS FIGHT THE OTHER MORNING, IT WAS A GOOD ONE. THERE WERE 12 GOBBLERS IN THIS FIELD AND AT LEAST 30 HENS. I WAS IN PENNSYLVANIA. OUR YOUTH SEASON COMES IN ON THE 11 IN MD AND THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND FOR REGULAR SEASON.

Youth season is this weekend in Wisconsin. This is my son's first Turkey. My wife had a nice bird cross in front of her coming home last night. It was late in the evening and I figured he was close to the road. Went in there this morning and he was 50 yards from the road and ended up busting off the roost. Went to another public area and no one was around. We walked down a logging road and I owl hooted and got one to sound off. Walked down the road, hooted again and 3 sounded off on top of a ridge in front of us. Got set, started to call, 5 minutes later, done! 22 lbs, double beard, 8in, 3in, 3/4 spurs.

GA.DAWG, just ship me them turkey breast up here, nearly to starve, out of venison, turkey, and squirrel meat, just ain't got quite bad enough to start picking up road kill yet but times are getting hard! Nice Birds, hope to get out next week but we started working ground and them tractors are well rested!
