 Crossbred to Purebred?

Once you make a pure to pure cross, I understand you can register the pups as crossbreds. How many crosses "up" does it take to get back to "pure" status and be eligible to be registered as such? Is it 7/8 pure or 15/16 pure?

I read this somewhere when the crossbred deal first came out and couldn't find it again.

It takes a minimum of 3 crosses to get to what UKC is considering pure (80%).

I mean once you get back to the 7/8 or 80+% of a certain breed. Not all breed associations are going to recognize them back into the breed.

I personally hope none of them do. If you want to cross breed then stay in the X-bred category. JMO
