Earliest you have ever

What's the earliest you've had a dog running and Treeing on a consistent Level by themselves.

Skuna river whip at six months old would consistantly run and tree and have coon in most all his trees !! Now he wouldn't bust in there a mile but if he came across it he would finish it whether it went a mile or closer consistantly !!! There is a lot more talked about then there is that will actually do it!!!

Didn't put this post up not to believe I had a pup that would run and tree every cat I had at 8 weeks old. She split the first night I ever had her in the woods been that way ever since and she's putting it in her pups.

Kaskaskia River Blue Trudy Treed her first coon at 5mo.old and I don't meen buger barking I mean at least 80 BPM. I have newver had a blue dog so natural. She went on that season and treed 18 coons and was just barley 8mo.old at the end of season. I never put her with another dog till the end of the second season Except in hunts.

Red ruby hardtime dot.

First time she and her litter mate were ever taken to the woods they were 5 months old and turned loose by thereself and treed a wild raccoon. Well I breed her to awesome. Got a Video the other day. Pup off her went to the woods on a walk to get use to being out at night. Well he had to go home to get the rifle. She treed a wild coon with no other hound around. Don't guess they get anymore natural.

Grand nite ch PKC ch Nances cache river double 00, treed his first coon by himself from the tail gate at 5 days short of 4 months old. He had a son that did the same thing. I don't mean one that crossed the road and went up the first tree. I seen the pup let out of the box, go a couple of hundred yards strike a track, work it and treed with a coon. Double 00 turned out to be a real nice hound his son that did it turned out average.

Dot won around 10 grand last year in PKC in prohunts and open events. Best I've ever followed. But I know what your saying. She is about to turn 5 in a few months. What alot of people don't realize is most world class hounds are a handfull to train. They have so much drive alot that could be one get culled b/c they are just to much for the average coonhunter to hunt.

my old finley river bred walker gyp from the 80's started her first hide season at nine months old and treed around 90 coons , solo . never saw another dog till she was a two year old and did this day in day out for 13 years . all I had to do with her was teach her what not to run and tree .

but a dog like that will ruin coon hunting for a fellow she set a standard that I have not been able to find in another hound .

My dad had a grade Black & Tan pup several year ago that I remember going to that pup in the daytime. It was about 300 yards from the house, by its self, treed solid on a big tree. I imagine it was treeing on a squirrel, but I couldn't find anything on the tree. However it was summer time with all leaves on. That pup was 3 1/2 months old.

had a pup out of my Gr.Nt.Ch. English male, showed him a coon at 3 1/2 months, next week I just took him along with the ole dog, turned him out and he struck right handed of the ole dog and treed with a coon, while the ole dog was treed 200 yds left handed. next turn out, I thought i'd see if what I saw was real, turned him down a cornfield edge by himself, he went down bout 300 yds struck and treed like a old dog and had another. He was a awesome pup and continued to get better making a Nt.Ch. round 1yr old and died just shortly after with what I think was poisoning. When that little dude treed you were gonna see the coon.

Hardwood Jock

Pup I had here out of Crockers Roadtrip and Roberts Annie ran a rabbit in a corn field the first night I had him and his sister on a walk at just three mos. old. I never put a pup with an old dog until they can do it themselves. I kept walking them and at just a week before he turned four mos. old he would hunt out 400 yds by himself and tree his own coon. When I gave him back to Ben Crocker at five mos. he would consistently tree his own coon and knew what racking in a shell meant. Most natural pup I have ever seen. He would just move a track on a run with just enough mouth and come treed right and everything. Never ran anything but coon after that first rabbit. ....while I had him. JD Johnson has him now.

I had one treeing his own at 5 months old. He was a tree dog from day one but a little too hard of a tree dog. When he was younger I had seen him do a little face barking and growling at tree but I corrected it quick and hard. Talked my self into putting him in a comp hunt and he drew out with the wrong dog and never would let another dog tree with him after that night. If another dog got on tree with him it was on and he was good at it. Before that hunt he road in the same box as 2 other dogs in the cast and was fine. Sold him to a pleasure hunter up the road and they love him.

littermate to Hardwood Jock

I still have her, check out the video from the link below. She's not yet 5 mos. in the video (didn't figure out how to post from my phone until a few months later). Her first tree by herself. She'd treed before that but always backing her littmate brother. This is the night I dropped him off with Ben. I went for a hunt with her.
