I had one of the littermates named Famous Penny. They were from one of the first breedings out of Famous Amos. I think this cross was made by Max Hunter before he sold Famous Amos to Roger Schabel. Penny was an exceptional squirrel dog and was used in squirrel competition events until she was about 4 years old. She was a good little tree dog and could tree a pile of squirrels fast. I remember one day we treed around 12 squirrels in a few hours. She had a dark red haircoat and a black muzzle. Smaller head and narrow nose and about 50#. We bred her to Timber Jack twice and they threw beautiful pups with the Timber Chopper looks. GrNtCh Penny's Famous Jack was from one of those litters. He had Timber Chopper around 12 times in his pedigree. That was a lot back then.
