Purina Pro Plan 30/20

Truck pulled up this afternoon and delivered four 37.5 lb bags of Pro a Plan Sport that I won awhile back. Always wanted to feed this stuff because of all the good things you hear about it but never could bring myself to part with 50 bucks for a 37 pound bag of dog food. 150 pounds should be enough to let me see how it does with my dogs.

pro plan

I have been feeding it for about a year. By far the best I have found to feed 2 cups a day all of mine do well. Best place to buy it is on Amazon they bring it to the house once a month price is 30.95 a bag 30/20.

Jim, the BEST FOOD you can feed in my opinion, tried it all and WILL NOT change again. It cost $45.00 per bag here at Fleet Farm, but they do run sales at $34.00 per bag and last Saturday they had a one day special of $29.00 per bag with no limit. I am stocked up for a little while, lol. I sure do like the Pro Plan Performance and Best of Luck on trying it with your dogs.

I have always wanted to try Pro Plan but just can't justify spending that much on a bag of food. Heck I could buy a good dog for what it would cost me to feed my mutts for a year lol I feed diamond hi energy and my dogs love it and look great compared to the sports mix I was feeding.

Pro Plan Performance 30/20 is simply THE BEST feed available.....!!!
You will feed half of what you do with the Diamond Hi Energy and your hounds will look much better.

Performance

Jim, this used to be my "go-to". I haven't fed it in a long time (years). I haven't even pulled a bag to check on the protein and fat ingredients. For a long time I considered it the best dry kibble available. I started working the dogs beyond the capability of the food and thus started the supplementation that I still do today, even on EA. Just make sure that it has clean burning protein for the kidneys sake and that a primary fat ingredient is chicken fat. If you start seeing them take a little more than 12-18 hours to recover, don't hesitate to supplement.

I really like this feed. All I do is fill up my old females feeder up and let her eat. I don't feed all my dogs ProPlan Sport. Just her.

Depends on what I see them struggling with. Sometimes I add protein and sometimes fat. Good clean chicken, tuna, or jack mack for protein. Fat is coconut oil or carbs reduced to glucose polymers. Most dry kibble could use protein added to it.

I agree I have struggled with every feed I've purchased, I've found the best thing and more cost effective is to add a little left over chicken that may be to dry for my taste.

I have used it for years, my dogs seem to stay fit even if I am not hunting them they don't get fat . They never seem tired or run down . I have never seen it on sale any where here in arkansas . I pay 52.00 for it . Good thing is I just sent in for 490.00 back from weight circles .

PP is the most consistent feed available. What you will notice is muscle tone, ribs showing not hips or backbones showing. Stamina, skin coat and as listed you will feed less. The muscle that hounds build on PP is something that I noticed not many hunters pay attention to.
