No Jeremy has not had him collected. Wish he would have, since we may want to go back someday to pick up the monster mouth he puts on all his pups. We are hoping dollar reproduces as well or better than Deuce, but we will see

Deuce I hunted with him the night he made grand. He looked like a million dollars that night. He hunted out right with a mouth to die for and treed coon. The thing that you ought to look at is his Dam Creepy Kate top reproducer.

Kate threw some great pups but she also threw some quirky ones too. A lot of nice dogs came out of skipper and Kate, but even some of the Deuce pups have some mannerisms I think they are getting from her. But its hard to say

Wondering if the quirkiness came from elsewhere? Jeremy had Bear and later in Dickerson had him at his house and bred a Skipper Style female by the name of Screamin Squaw . I met Dickerson to get Bear back and he brought two male pups off that cross for me and a friend of mine . I sold mine to Dj Mccombs/Giddings as a 2 yr old and friend of mine still has his , made flat coon treers .... But wow are they quirky!! It's why I sold mine , all the tools , but quirky . Perhaps it's a skipper trait? Fred Bear goes back to a cord/Skipper female on the bottom and no quirks with him . Skipper/Nailor females produced the best pups off bear I believe . I like the stuff

What kind of quirks are y'all talking about ? It might be that I have an idea if from Skipper or what was crossed. The maternal line behind Skipper was mine, all I have been able to stand for close to 40 years now. Shoot even have a male out of Skipper Style crossed on a sister to Hayes Jr , shocked me to get a clone of what shows in his 6 generation.
Courtney Risk collected Drifter, seems that there was another up in eastern KY Skippers Exposure or something like that. I don't know if he's still around but Bobby Dearman had one a year or so back. I did have it all on my computer before it crashed and lost it all.

I don't live far from where Nailer was born and he and Lassie were hunted.... everyone always said Lassie was a 1 man dog and that Jess's wife couldn't get near her. there was a lot of bad press about lipper dogs around here back then though and I never drew her.....

local legend also said there wasn't a thing wrong with skipper that a pair of pliers couldn't fix....never drew him either so only rumor (though jess's own brother Charlie told me the same thing)

I did judge Nocturnal Novacaine one night. scratched her about an hr into the hunt for refusing to hunt. (spent most of the first hr making a bed in the leaves by our feet and the 30 min finaly got her) Jess was handling her and it was the KS state hunt.

I also hunted with Xjr once (liked him) and a cpl other nice ones that Eldon Prettyman had back then...liked them too.

Some of them didn't like strangers, different situations, wouldn't hunt for just anybody, etc....

We never had any trouble with dogs direct off skipper, but it shows in a few Deuce pups. They usually have enough talent to make up for it though

Looking at my papers, as of 9/25/14, Deuce has produced a total of 82 pups (1 GRNITECH and 4 NITECH) with close to $25,000 in pup earnings. Looking at those numbers I'd say Deuce is reproducing pretty well!

Deuce has thrown some really nice dogs. I won another $100 last night with a Deuce dog. We really like the mouth he throws, and the accuracy. Most of them never see a UKC hunt though.

Deuce has reproduced some nice dogs and it is a shame most of them aren't pushed in multiple registries. I'm proud to say I own Deuce's only GRNITECH, that has also won close to $8000 of Deuce's $25,000 pup earnings. I also own a grandpup of Deuce that I have high hopes for!!

I know my duds dog will make NT CH than probably not get UKC hunted anymore, his littermate Lady GAGA will probably do the same. Dollar has 4 wins towards grand, and I know of a young dog out of GW betty and Deuce is pretty nice and is in the hands of a person that will UKC hunt him

Know about that one and Skipper was packing it, guess it comes from old Xbred House's Queen, back at start of the line. Tells me that the line is still holding, guess that might be reason Jess sent word about Deuce when I was trying to find a stud. It might help a little if somebody is going to hunt a dog, you need to put the leash on the dog and give it to the person.

They are pretty bright dogs, they know who is handling them no matter who puts the leash on them.
