Feist Studs

I'm new to the squirrel hunting but I am interested in A feist pup. What studs are throwing consistent , good hunting pups?

I have heard a lot about oak hill rowdy , what are the opinions on him?

Just trying to find out some info before getting into it.

Thanks

If I were to get into fiest, I would check out the Mullins or Buckly blood. My first sq dog was an old male fiest. He was ok, didn't hunt out very far only about 75 yards, had the worst mouth on him but would tree a few squirrels. I switch to curs and now I tree more. I think he was mixed up with Mullins and some kind if cur.

What state are you located? Maybe there are some good fiest guys around you that would take you on a hunt.

I know if your anything like me you want what you want but have you thought about getting a cur? Like I said, I started with a fiest and now have curs and won't go back. Probably a lot more people near you with curs too.

If you are wanting a feist then get a feist. There are strains of feist available that will hunt harder than most people want to and stay treed till you get there. We hunt McAndrews bred feist, they are hard going, get treed and stay kind of dogs. I'll never be without them but we do hunt treeing curs and hounds as well. Jay Sobczack is in WV and keeps real nice feist dogs- hard going get treed tree dog type.

Just saw a post on the classifieds for a 6 month old barger fiest for sale. That would be a good one for ya.
