Jack front wheels up off ground and unbolt master cylinder from brake booster if wheels free up probably booster if they don't free up crack the front brake line loose at master cylinder and if wheels free up probably master cylinder

contaminated master cylinder most likely power steering or another petroleum product causing all rubber parts in brake system to swell replace master and flush with dot3 hope this helps

My truck is having the same issues. Everything in the entire brake system has been replaced four times, with no luck. It's had three different Boosters and four master cylinders on it, all the brake lines of been changed and multiple calibers. And we have flushed the system several times plus replaced the ABS modual three times. The truck is a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500. I've been trying to get it fixed now for two and a half years and the brakes just locked up again on of the other day and the Mechanic had to have it towed back to the shop.

that's what I would guess to. were any of the rubber components swelled? seal under cylinder lid, outer seals on brake calipers ect??? petroleum wrecks anything rubber in brake system until completely flushed. good luck.

Master cylinder helped but, did not correct problem-- still holding alittle pressure-- someone told me that the spring
in these cylinders is to strong-- need to drill a small hole
in the outlet coup in master cylinder--says it the only way to correct the problem!!!

Randy,
I had a constant squeak in mine a while back. I could not get rid of it, took to a guy and the slider pins on my calipers were sticking from time to time. Put new ones on and have not had a problem since.

My mechanic got in contact with General Motors. They think it is the proportioning valve. They sent one for my pick up and it was installed Friday and it is being tested out now I'll let you know if this helps the problem.

yes sir, after spending 1000 bucks, it's the brake line running to close to the exhaust system. The fluid was getting hot putting pressure on my calipers. I used 2 pop cans for a heat shield an it's been fine.
