ivomec?????????

I do not use Ivomec Eprinex Pour On Beef and Dairy Cattle. But I did have a gentlemen ask me if you could use this on dogs. I could not answer this for him.
I do know that people use 1percent ivomec and inject it.

SO COULD EVERYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS SUBJECT?

WE HAVE BEEN USEING THE 1% CATTLE & SWINE BROWN BOX FOR OVER 40 YRS.

WE ALWAYS GIVE 1/2 CC BY MOUTH EVERY MONTH UNTIL IT GETS REAL COLD THEN WE STOP.

WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD GREAT LUCK WITH IT YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR DOG CHECKED FOR HEART WORMS BEFORE GIVING IT, I'VE BEEN TOLD IT COULD KILL THEM IF THEY HAVE HEART WORMS ???

SOME MIX WITH COKE OR WATER SO ITS NOT SO STRONG TASTEING. LIKE 1 CC OF CHOICE.

Ivomec 1% cattle and swine injectable

Ivomec 1% cattle and swine injectable. I put .2cc on a piece of bread, feed it to a 45- 70lb dog. This is the amount I use just for heartworm prevention. Feb 1st - Nov 1st. I give them December and January off up here in east central Illinois. Southern states should give year around I hear.
No heartworms in 20+ years.

ivomec

Ivomec injectable for cattle 1% bestdose for any breed other than Collie, Sheltie, Aust Sheep Dog is I/10th cc per 10 lb body wt monthly year round no matter where you live. This dose kills hook, round, whipworms, ear mites sarcoptic mange and 1st 2 month stage of heartworm larva. It will not kill fleas. For Demodex (Red) Mange the dose is 3/10th cc per 10 lb body wt daily for 2 months. If you see tapeworms get Ivomec Gold horse paste wormer and squirt 250 lbs worth of it in back of 3cc syringe with plunger out then put plunger in and push gel to tip and give 1/10th cc per 10 lb body wt. They have found heartworm that are resistant to ivomec, so I use moxidectin Quest horse wormer at same dose monthly. This should get everyone straight on dosage for your hounds well being.
