Too Hot?

I took my dogs out last Monday. It seem cool enough for me but the dogs were pantting none stop. Tonight it's going to be in the mid 70s. Is that too hot? My dogs are in pretty good shape.

Not to hot...

1-2 turnouts should be ok, especially if there is water near.. For them to get a drink.. But it really just depends.. Where I hunt there is plenty of water, but 1 turnout can easily be 1.5 hours depending on how deep they get.. Foot travel only for me, as this is a huge swamp... But I do try and stay within 400-500 yards from the dog, so they don't stay treed to long.. This GA humidity is tough on a dog . Watch your dog, when in doubt ... Call it a night.

if your dogs are in good shape and they can get to water when they need it they ought to be fine.i try to stay away from places that aint got water close by during the summer.

I though I was gonna sweat to death last night. Like a sauna here. Rains every day nowdays. Then gets humid. Its not to hot though. I do keep feeders out right now. Try to keep things easier.

i took my little english gyp, she's my go dog, and two of my sorry dogs out last night. it wasn't as hot as i thought. the english dog got after a fox and ran that thing for hours. i didn't get her back until 1:00AM and she didn't seem to be worn out then.
i take a hand pump sprayer, like you use to spray posion insecticide. i just spray the dogs and that helps a lot.
