Brian...
I got started late with these coondogs...but my very first hunt was with you, cole, Jon, preacher... And I was hooked..! I remember Jon was quick to put on a clinic when hunted with every other dog I seen him unsnapped with.. I never knew at that time I was among greatness, to follow a dog of his caliber..! I will give you the credit you deserve too in finishing Jon. It's just my opinion but It takes more effort here in the south to start dogs.. With all these freaking armadillos.. Deer, hogs.. And them big gators. I'm not sure what people up north go thru in starting, hunting dogs, but I do think there is definitely an advantage. Ok Brian, correct me if I'm wrong.. And I will be the first to admit I don't know as much as others about our breed, but isn't Jon Henry, sandy creek jake the two most money winningest redbones..?? So to answer your question about how I liked hearing that banjo.. It was awesome..! I still to this day have not hunted with a dog of Jon's caliber.. I'm sure there out there, but he set the bar for me...! I thank you for the help in the past, and the help I have yet to receive...! Cowboy had his 4th vet appt. today.. Some stitches removed, more stitches added.. More antibiotics.. Still got about 2 months of recovery left, if we can keep infection out, he is such a energetic, smart pup.. I remember our last hunt you said I needed some of this fireball blood, well.. I'm loading the kennel down with the best that I can get... I should be getting a nice little female around July.. I think you know how she is bred.
