Puppy lost mouth

I have a 4 month old pup that has lost his mouth.
Two weeks ago he had one of the best mouths I've heard on a pup that young. and now he can hardly bark. He barks some in the pen but not enough that he should have lost his voice.
This is what he sounded like two weeks ago;

Any help & advise would be appreciated.

I had one done the same thing....mine was tied up for the first time and i wasnt around to know she was barking. I took mine and let her run loose at my moms and gave her honey twice a day. It took about 4 days and her voice is back. Try a bark collar if you dont have anywhere to turn one loose.

I just squirt some down her throat......probably 1.5 tablespoons twice a day. Ive never tried it but they claim lemon juice works also. If you read the other threads and see LA-200 I wouldnt even try it. Ive had no luck with it.

i was told by a number of vets over the years that if a dog looses its voice, there is a underlying problem you prob wont see till later in life. ive had two bark themselves out, both died by the age of 5.

Forget everything else go by the vet ASK for predisone & Remidyl (for the inflamation of the vocal cords) & put your pup on complete vocal rest for awhile (no bark collar) . Finish all meds .

Honey works for sure I gave some to my male that lost his mouth last week and yesterday he is back to normal

I have always had good luck by going into the pen and beat the butt of them. If they smart they quit. But letting them out and going for walks helps to. That's there time. I don't put bark collar on no pup. I use a little plastic ball bat. It gets the point across. If it don't work they not smart enough for me. Any puppy with good sense will not bark to the point it can't bark no more. That's no good to ever let them get to that point. I handle and play with my pups enough that a little butt whooping won't hurt them. And they still run right up to me.
