Ukc-pkc Rules

As more and more hunters seem to hunt both registries how many here would like to see a committee and using the hunt rules from each decide on a basic set of the most liked rules from each registry. I know there are some rules that are unique to each that would have to be left alone. What I'm talking about is the basic hunt rules such as count down, walk 1 min. , 100 versus 125 tree., etc. As a MOH I see more and more people confusing the the different rules. I know they are on the back of the card but in the heat of the hunt a mistake is made unintentionally. I think it can be done. I also think because so many people hunt both registries there would be more agreement as to the rule changes for both. YES or NO, and WHY?

One BASIC set of hunt rules for both.

It would be nice but in UKC must have plus points to win.
PKC can win with minus, must be a winner for pay or at least a cast win for advancing in the major hunts.
? don't see it happening but would make it a lot easier for all if they were able to compromise, good luck with that one

I think that this would be one of the exceptions between the two that wouldn't have to be changed in either.
The hunting against all casts in your class with plus points to win is what UKC is all about and the, only have to beat the dogs in your cast ,most plus, least minus is what PKC is about. These are some of the rules that would be left alone as in the basic hunt rules it wouldn't matter?

I don't like this idea at all and really don't see any purpose in it. Yes, I have seen numerous instances of judges and / or cast members mistakenly or purposely using PKC rules at a UKC hunt ( never seen it the other way around) but all that is needed to fix that problem is just one cast member who DOES know the rules. And don't worry about that 3-1 vote crap, if you know you are right, the vote don't mean diddly. As for those instance where the wrong rules are used because nobody knows any better or declines to stand up, well those casts deserve everything they get.
