Dual Grand Thorson's Tree'n Blue Dutch passed away this morning at the vets office. Not sure why yet. The last few days he stopped eating and wasn't acting well. Ryan took him in this morning for me and there was nothing they could do.

Loosing both Dutch and Brandy in the last few months is tough. I have been very blessed to raise, train, and hunt two littermates of this caliber.

Thanks to all that have been part of the journey. Its been a great one. The amount of friends made and people I have met are incredible. Stuffy, jake and joel, Trent, Tony, and many more.

Dutch made it as high as #5 on the reproducers list this last year.

Every time I hear this it gives me a lump in my gut.

I buried every one of mine under a big tree that held memories. They never last anywhere near long enough.

Sorry for your loss. Dutch and Brandy were good ones! I remember when he and Brandy were just Babies! There were a lot of late nights, miles, laughs, and coons treed over the years.
I still think you owe me that case of Barley Pops for our bet on Brandy! ( not that I remember things like that! Ha)

Thanks everyone. I appreciate everyones condolences. Have to admit it was a little weird doing chores this morning. Found myself opening his kennel door. Telling the boys last night was tough. Seeing their eyes well up was hard. Those of you that know us know these two dogs weren't just hounds, they were family. It wasn't all about the hunting. It wouldn't be any different if they couldn't tree a coon at all. They were our kids before kids. If we traveled they went with us. Heck amy even trained for a marathon with dutch running beside her and brandy typically bring up the rear a ways back

Mike you were right all along. I'll get ya those barley pops soon

Corey, so sorry to hear about Dutch. My old dog died when he was 11, and it's rough to lose a companion like that. I'm willing to bet there will always be a shot of Brandy around my house.
