Top Redbone Females....who has them?

Note to moderators : I am not asking for people to sell me their dog so please do not move my post to the for sale page. I am trying to identify and locate a specific type of dog and I doubt that they are for sale so the owners of such dogs may not even look at the for sale section.

Who out there feels like they have or know someone who has one of the top redbone females in the country right now?
I am not talking about pleasure dogs, although if they belong to a pleasure hunter who doesn`t competition hunt...I would still like to hear about them if they have all the tools to dominate in competition.
What I am really trying to identify are a few of the very best....probably going to be the best redbone most redbone people have ever hunted with.
Would probably be considered a top 5 female of the breed.
Not looking for old dogs that can't prove that they are still a top dog...but any female who can be shown and prove that she has all the tools of a dog that can beat most other dogs in competition.
I hear alot about the "best dogs" are often tied out behind a barn somewhere....so I would like to know more about those dogs and possibly narrow my search down and come and hunt with a few of them.
Now most who have read much of what I post on the board know the kind of dog I am trying to produce in my breeding program and those are the only kinds of dogs I am really interested in finding and hunting with. If they are out there...I want to know about them and see them in action.
I am not saying I wouldn't buy such a dog if I found one...just do not want this post to be moved to the for sale section like it was a week or so back when I tried to ask this question. That was not my only reason for making this thread....I doubt the kind of dog I hope to find can ever be bought...so this thread is my attempt to identify and possibly hunt with a few if possible.
Now let me repeat....I don't have a lot of free time to travel all over hunting with common or even pretty good dogs....I see plenty of those when I competition hunt. I am looking for the best of the best. Maybe they have already done some winning....and maybe they have never been in a hunt yet. I dont want to hear about dogs that have been in alot of hunts and have won some or have titles but have never been able to win at the top level competition hunts.
Now nobody has to reply to this thread....it's all voluntary.
All I ask is be honest in your post and be willing and able to prove what you claim your dog is and can do.
I also want to hear about dogs on this post so others can benefit from the information....so please don't send me pm's about a dog until after you post on here first. My pm box fills up pretty fast anyway and I don't want to clean it out every day or two.
I truly want to know who has these type of females and where they are located and would like to see a few in action in their own backyard where they have convinced their owner that they are one of the best.
If you have what you think is an extra special, cream of the crop, legitimate top level contender....please describe her and what tools she has that make her stand out against almost every dog you have hunted her with and give her age and a little about her breeding. Also, if she has been bred before...I would like to know to what and how those pups are doing. Thank you in advance for helping myself and other breeders in our search for what is working in this breed and our quest to determine how, why, and can we repeat those things again with any consistency....Shane

they are extinct shane the breed is full of good males and no females just look how many people have asked about them and then put stipulations on them like they are trying to build a race car and not a well balanced consistent coon tree'r// ?

First off let me say that mine is probally no wheres near the best and her big faults are that she only has an average mouth and is only a 3rd or 4th strike dog when she is in a cast of good strike dogs.
However she finished in the hunts just after her 3rd birthday by being a fast tracking and VERY QUICK, accurate, decisive treedog. She won an RQE cast last year by treeing 10ft away from a cast of high-powered walkers. She had the meat and they were slick. That cast was assigned a non-hunting judge because the other handlers were well known if you know what I mean. She has done these type of things many times just like her daddy and grandmother allways would. The harder other dogs tree near her the harder she'll tree on hers. She will get more then her share of 1st trees in any company against any breeds when packed together on one coon, but if theres more then one she'll slip off with one to herself almost everytime. I had more then one walker guy that had hunted with her wanting a pup from her. Of course just like any dogs she can look dumb some nights too.
I welcome you to come see Maggie or/and Jeb hunt anytime though Shane. In fact I welcome anyone to come see them in the woods. Bring your walking boots though. Lol. Maggie will check in sometimes when by herself, but never with company. She'll go farther then the next dog. Jeb pretty much never comes back once you turn him loose and when I hunt them together,,,,,, well I hope theres a coon within a reasonable distance because I WON'T be able to catch them again until their treed.
Maggie is still only 3 and will be put in a lot more hunts in both KC's. However I won't ever have the funds to really push her hard. She is bred to reproduce too, but time will tell that story.
On a side note it took Maggie 5 cast wins to get her last NtCh win. Even at the local hunts around here your not gonna finish a dog by winning a bunch of 1 cast NtCh hunts unlike other parts of the country. Most local hunts have atleast 2 or 3 NtCh casts.

Adam,
you have already been on my list for awhile now. Jeb is a dog that I think can add some things to the line I have and if nothing bad (or worse...lol) happens...he and Bree have a date at some point in the future. I would love to see your female go as well...shane

Adam hunts at the same clubs as Derek Metzler who owns HighTest Heidi, The Krasa boys who seem to win their share, That guy with those Sawblade dogs and Ryan Briggs who is winning with a nice young male redbone. There are others as well with winning red dogs. He is right you don't finish a hound up here unless it's a good one. The competition from the other breed is tough and somehow these reds are winning. We see some strong English and Walkers dogs at the hunts.
I know of at least one very good young female . She belongs to a friend and I will have to get his permission before I would say anything about her. I believe I have one as well, with some better weather I will be sure . She hasn't been hunted much in the last couple of months so I am not confident to say she is a top 5% yet. She is fast , very quick to get struck and treed. She has some maturing to do and I will know in the next month or so how I would rank her.

Right on, Kelly. We do seem to have quite a few nice reddogs locally. If I remember right did't us redbone guys clean house at that English sectional in Sinclairville, Ny last year? Lol. 1st place NtCh, 1st place Reg and 2nd or 3rd place Reg were all redbone winners. To me it seems like a cast win at one of our local hunts is just as tough to get as at any national level hunt. You don't hear folks talking about how they'd never seen a good reddog around these parts. Chances are they've been beat by one before. Lol.

Don't worry, Mark. Lining up top females when breeding is no secret. Its just good practice. Lol.

How about this idea? Maybe we should plan a little hunt with just redbone females? Then we'd see who has the best. Atleast the night of the hunt anyways. This could be a fun little event. It would also give folks a chance to back up what they think is a top female. Just an idea.

Shane
I think I have a top female. I have always been partial to the females. Chicken Foot is four right now. She is loud, loud. Run track open, has a great loud locate and trees very hard. She is an intense tree dog. She has hunted all over the counrty, in company and alone. Has won some PKC $, and won casts at most of the red breed hunts. I hunted her with Royce and Bobby one night in Tn. I thought she looked good but she is was mine. Royce won the cast with Turbo. She only has one litter on the ground and they are out of Rocky. Time will tell. I will hunt her with anything any time. Her main fault, she doesn't travel well.
Good luck, they are out there.

Miss Piggy

Ask around, don't take my word for it. and she can compete still at any big hunt against any of the best of any breed! an she aint dying of ol age. she is the best female I ever hunted with. I said that before I owned her! Come for a hunt, let Piggy tell u, come for a hunt. Females like her are few and very far between. Im not saying shes the best, there are some out there im sure on the same shelf; 'TOP' ! SHe never lost a cast, Im not saying its impossible, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in while! But if by some chance it ever happened. You'll never beat her two nights in a row. That's a fact. SHe is the cream de la crème! SHe has been bred one time. But I have plans in the future to breed her to a some studs to get a few good litter out of her. Piggy has an almost unbelievable hunt record , with several scores over a thousand plus points, around 4 0r 5 hunts id day , off the top of my head, in different states across the country. Miss Piggy was trained by Doug Moore, she is out of Woody Brinsons Ranger dog, and Fiddle II ! Piggy is here at my house an I plan on getting couple litters out of her in the future. I haven't picked my studs yet. Il cross that road when I get their. Again don't take my word, ask around. Miss Piggy is still got her Mojo. The reason I have missed her last two cycles was honestly bc I was in jail, her 1st cycle, and the last cycle she had was in this past February we couldn't get to the past Southern Days bc of the snow. I was Snowed in and with over a foot of snow and Id a been drivin through the whole storm to get to the hunt in Cedar Grove NC, the whole way from NJ.Good luck to all the Redbone Fanciers!

How's it going, Jesse. You need to get Miss Piggy qualified for the World hunt this year. If she doesn't lose a cast there you'll have the 1st Redbone UKC overall world ch. I'm sure she could make a good go of it anyhow. Take care and stay out of the city man. Later.
P.S. Don't forget about old Jeb when your looking for her next stud. Lol.

I've heard from others that Miss Piggy was a good one and I know you and your dad know what a good dog is more then most. You guys have had a lot of good ones over the years. Stay in the woods and I hope things start looking up for ya man.

Shane, I have one that I like but she is not your "type". And Miss Piggy was a nice one three or four years ago.

Unfortunately....there doesn't seem to be very many dogs that are "my type"
There ar a lot of good dogs out there....but only the special ones seem to get on the long and impressive win streaks....and to win a world championship....you have to have a dog who puts together cast wins and getson win streaks often. Anyone with a good dog can win two or three casts in a row with some luck and some breaks along the way....but to win 5 or 6 in a row...as the field narrows and the competition gets increasingly tougher and more experienced....for both dog and handler.....you have to have more than just a "good dog"....you need something special.
That's what I am interested in and there probably isn't an honest handful of those type of dogs in this breed right now. If there were....they would be showing up in the final casts of the major hunts that draw top shelf dogs....if they are being entered. And, if they are not being entered and they are that good....why not enter them? Heck if I could find "my Type" of dog....and it wasn't for sale, I would hunt that dog for it's owner and pay that dogs way out of my own pocket....just to give a worthy dog the chance to prove what it can do and that's a fact!
Anyone who knows me should know that I am not in this to have my name on a dog. I never have put my name on a dogs papers. I always name my dogs with something that identifies the line they come from....because that's what made that dog what it is on the inside...not me or my name. I do not care if I am the owner, or breeder, trainer, or handler....I just want to help this breed get better and compete with the other breeds more effectively.
I hunt alone most nights, but I do a lot of work and preparation for crosses, training, and competiting with lots of other people behind the scenes. I call those I work with my team mates....because I feel like we work as a team to reach some common goals that are important to all of us.
I don't know everyone in this breed....but I do know a lot of good folks and meet new ones all the time. I know that my type of dog doesn't suit everyone....but there are quite a few people in this breed who want to see more of that type of dog competing and representing the breed with wins in the major hunts against the other breeds...so I don't feel as alone in that regard as some might suggest....I am just one of the more outspoken guys on the subject

What males will you be crossing Chick on in the future. I like what I have heard about her and she has some good reproducers behind her.

Gr Nt Ch Boone....That is a no brainer, half brother/sister cross. Boone is an outcross off Haze and Chick is an outcross off Haze. So they will be linebred back together. Hopefully, their traits will match up nicely. Should be some loud mouth well balanced tree dogs.

I like to think that I have a good one. My Autumn female is quick on the ground and quick to get treed. She is a hard tree dog with a good locate. She will tree with dogs and she will split and hold pressure. She has wins from local hunts as well as bigger hunts like Plott days and Grand American. She got qualified for the world last year. She has had cast wins at Southern Redbone days two years in a row. She will turn 3 at the end of March and only needs one more nitech win to be grand. The best part is she is still constantly getting better and I intend on pushing her as much as I can.

Can you remind me how she is bred?
What do you plan on breeding her to in the future?

She is not a 1st strike dog but 9 times out of 10 gets first tree. She has a triple chop locate then rolls in to a steady chop. Her best quality is there is no leash required. I can call her off the tree and she will follow me back to the truck or I grab her by the collar and send her the direction I want her to go.

I was going to breed her to Boone this next heat cycle however that would interfer with taking her to National days so I think I am going to wait till she comes back in during the fall. I have hunted with both Haze and Reba. Reba really impressed me she is another female that should be on this list. That is why I made sure that I was on the list for a Jim X Reba pup. Other studs that I have considered to breed her to are Moose, Jim, and Rip. I have hunted with all three and all three traits that I believe would match well with Autumn.

never seen

I never seen a ped on a dog that had those lines put together like that. I like her paperwork. Some good old blood up close in that dog.

I heard that John Queen had a pretty nice female that you might like. I think that you have hunted with her littermate brother and one of her offspring.
