Gentlemen, when I first met Dave I was not much more than a young punk that just wanted too hunt and wanted a dog that I could compete with. I've had several that were pretty good hounds and have some of the best hounds that I've ever owned in my kennel now. I have come a long way but the thing that always impressed me with Dave is that he always made a point to talk to me no matter where he saw me. When I was growing up in Kentucky Dave was the man. He was what every young competition hunter wanted to be. He don't hit it hard like he used to but I still enjoy calling him from time to time and hearing some of those old stories about Eugene Boyd, Calvin Hayes and so many others of the founding fathers that I never got well acquainted with. Most will remember Dave as a tuff competition hunter/breeder but I always remember him as a big ole' jolly country boy that I'm proud to have as my friend.
Dave, I said everything you told me to, please send my check to p.o. box 1306 Liberty, Ky
Just kidding ole' buddy, it was all true.
