heck Jim, the way the weather is all I need is a few rocks to throw. Got a new Ruger last year after some low life sob stole my single shot that my grandfather gave me some 20+ yrs. ago, I was the only person that could shoot that thing, open sights and very seldom did I have to use both hands on it, sure liked it. I hope the sob who stole it shoots himself!!! I remember when we never locked anything up, now you got to lock up even if its for a few minutes!

My coon shooting iron is a R10/22 w/BSA Red dot scope.

Had a coyote try to run me off one night last summer. He came out of the woods and ran my young dog under the Jeep. Then he turned and ran over to see if he could run me off. I hit him with one 22 LR slug as he charged by me, he piled up and slid face-first into the alfalfa. Then before he could get up, I strafed him with part of the rest of the clip. I get a knot in my stomach when I kill a coon for the pups, but I kill coyotes with glee.

1993 Ruger 10/22 with a wood stock that is painted black in Stainless topped with a cheap 3-9x32 scope with look threw scope rings.

Cheap trick you can put a spent 9mm or 380 brass over the sharp bolt handle. If you want it to stay on you will have to glue or JB Weld it.

Remington Model 798 chambered in .375 H&H Magnum.Kind of heavy but coons don't hang up when shot with it plus not under gunned in case of a mad bear in the middle of the night.
