Garmin problem qeustion

My dc 40 just quit on me last night. Was working just fine but then noticed i was linked to handheld and the collar had turned off and won't turn back on took it apart and antenna is broke in half by the screw to the collar but inside no sign of corrosion. With antenna broke will that make it not turn on or Is something else going on

.

Something else. If it won't come one the next thing to test is will the blue lights come on when charging. If it seems to be dead when charging the only thing to do is call Garmin and have it replaced

Just got a new dc 40 for Christmas turned it on got it locked on to my garmin and it did the same thing as yours and I couldn't get it to come back on took it apart and it smelt like it burnt something up inside called garmin and sent it back to them and they sent me a new collar back. So your best bet would be to call garmin and tell them what's going on get the info to send it back and you will have a new collar at your house in 10 days or so
