I was just talking to his granddaughter Joanna. Unfortunately things are not really improving and George does not have his cell phone any longer. I certainly Hope that everyone who knows him will send cards or letters as the family members and nurses will read them to him. Keep those Prayers coming also . Chuck Coats and I went to visit George today. We had a good visit. George is starting to eat without his tube now so there is some improvement . We talked dogs for quite awhile his speech is improving also. He's still not getting any movement in his left arm or leg . But there are some signs of improvement which is a very good thing . I hope those of you who know or know of George would send him cards and letters as well as pics as these all mean so much to him!
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers!

Perry I don't know if he had those or not . I'll be getting back there before long and I'll make sure to check. I know he said he'd gotten some pics and letters but i didn't see them! He did say if it wasn't for his coon hunting friends he wouldn't see or here from anyone . So I hope everyone will try and send him pics and letters. I know it means the world to him right now!

I have a brother in law in the same nursing home and I see both him and George as often as possible. George was taking therapy one day last week and it seemed to help a little. his frame of mind is fair at best but considering the circumstance I guess it is as good as can be at this time. I live about three miles from the home and want everyone to know as far as homes go it is really good. my mother and mother in law have been there in the past and they have some really caring people. everytime I see George I tell him that we are talking and thinking of him on the forums and it really seems to pick up his spirits. I have mentioned to him that he needs his computer in his room but I feel like im butting in to his families business so I try not to say to much. he is a really special man with a huge wealth of coonhunting knowledge especially the bluetick breed and he still loves to talk dogs. I will try to update as often as possible. thanks for reading.

I talked to Gordon this morning and he said they've put. George under hospice care after another stroke. They're not expecting him to last very long now. Praying that his pain a suffering is eased soon . God Bless You George!

GEORGE WAS ONE OF THE BEST ALL AROUND PEOPLE ON THE FACE OF THIS EARTH. SO FULL OF KNOWLEDGE AND HAPPY WITH LIFE. George was not only a true supporter of the bluetick breed but people in general. I believe that he enjoyed going to the hunts and striking up a conversation with everybody. He will be missed.
