I like the video Mike. I didn't think about using the video instead of the picture. I'll have to look to see if mine has that option.

David I planted a half acre corn patch in a creek bottom one year and when it was ready to eat I took a young dog down to see if he could get after a coon and to my surprise every stalk was gone. Looked like somebody cut it all down with a machettie. Went over to the creek the beavers had damed the creek with it. Couldn't believe they could destroy the whole patch that quick.

It's a 20 gallon plastic drum with lockring and removeable top with 1.5 galv elbo out bottom. Holds 50 lb dog food or 100 lbs corn. Its bout 4ft off the ground. Nothing that don't climb or fly will get to it. Used 1x6 decking boards one end fastened to the tree other ends on two 4x4s. Got 1x6s under the bottom for floor and one 1x6 on top to set drum on. Drum tied to top of 4x4s with wire.

No I got one of them kiddy pools and painted it like camo and put holes in the bottom then just layed it on ground and filled with dog food right next to a creek. They were going thru a 50 pound bag of dog food every 4 days lol.

I used to use dog food back when it was $5.00 for the cheap stuff. I grow corn for a living so I just use it now bc it's cheaper. Everybody used to tell me dog food would draw possums but the pics show possums will eat the corn too. I like that. I like seeing different ideas for coon feeders

We'll I was thinking about putting one up off ground but figured this would be better that way everything could eat out of it and when started young dog he could run the coon out of there instead just tree on the tree the feeder was in and so far has worked really well and the only thing other then coons I have had is a possum eating out of it, but have no deer or nothing else.
