Question Top 10 Redbone breeders?

At the risk of creating a flame war, I have a question to the visitors of this forum. Who are currently the guys that are breeding the best line of coon hunting redbones? By coon hunting redbones I mean those that are actually being bred to hunt coon rather than those that are bred to hunt bear or other large game or those that are bred for the bench show even though these may not be different or independent characteristics.

I'll just throw a guess most best bloodlines for redbones and crosses will come from up north . Just guessing now don't hold me to that

We talking about breeders or bloodlines ? I thought we was talking about a kennel or person . Or do you mean what blood/strain of reddogs are the best ?

I don't know enough to name them all, certainly would not want to rank them. However if i was keeping count on breeders (not just bloodline) I would like to see a man hunting a dog off a dog he/she promoted or owned rather than just a new flavor of the day.
When I look at Coffman dogs and see three generations with the same name I take notice. Other examples include Royce Taylor, Brent Peel, Harold Hoffmeister, Tom Solberg, and the list goes on and continues to grow. I am impressed by longevity with a particular strain, and the names above often have multiple dogs with their last name or kennel name in the 3 gen pedigree if and when they have pups for sale....no surprise to me this type breeder is often a hunter first and a breeder second so they won't/don't have a litter every 3 months....
Sorry for the great names I left off, and certainly did not mean to rank just named a few names that came to mind.

Several of those have Fireball pretty close just like TC thru Famous Amos is close on some others. Yellow River, Sandy Creek, Sulpher River & even Buster further back but multiple times had a good bit of Fireball. If ya look at Jake is the only Redbone to win a PKC Prohunt and to make Gold Champion. Ya take the Yellow River (grandchildren of Fireball) cross that produced more big hunt winners that any other single cross in the breed, to include a National GrNtCh Overall win. Plus the only Redbone Overall World Champion (double Fireball) never mind the huge stack of other wins from this line (Several Purina Hunt winners of breed) nevermind the drive that many have to hunt then I would think anyone who had some of this is going to be doing fairly well if the past is any predictor.

Doesn't take a lot to mix me up, but i'm not sure what your really asking. If you are asking who is breeding to win the first World Champion with a red dog, I would guess Bellar has the upper hand with the "type" he's hauling. Other than that just look in the back of Bloodlines and you have a monthly list.

I think the biggest problem with your question is that each line has a handful of guys working to keep it going. Like the outlaw/moonlight strain has prolly 10 different guys working hard to produce what they have. As well as at least three other strains. It's really hard to put it on one or two guys... If that helps put it into perspective.

johnny Coffman, jesse Copeland, earl turpin, alton keys, the krustingers, rob and Katina childers, tom Solberg, the entire va cartel are making some outstanding crosses, kelly hyde, moonlight/outlaw team pepsi boys, all night boys and several others. there is a lot to choose from in the breed these days and any of them could win big.

Mr- Timber Hunter----

Blakesley would not fall into his question. Because those biscuit eaters did/do tree a few "Big Game" animals. They will take OLD tracks and you can feed them into a chase or tree, because they did/do PACK. And sometimes they did/do get lucky on a Bench. I would say that he's asking for the "scorecard" bred Redbone and we all know that this one doesn't fit it.

But I'm sure that Roy and Red would be honored that their name made the post.

Thanks

OT

I am proud of the blood I have in my backyard, and these breeders have made a name for them selves and as far as I can tell has made a difference in the redbone breed as a whole.
