Found them on www.koehlerlighting.com They didn't have "Gel Cell" but they did have the "Ion" battery kits for Wheat Lights which is the latest and greatest in battery technology. Same batteries used in all the new L.E.D lights. Good luck.

Depends Pete, those old lights are heavier than the new ones, but I still have 2 that I still use, don't know about LED bulbs, use mine for odd jobs,do know their better than a flash light. If I remember I got less than $30.00 in mine too rebuild. Those old 5200 heads last a long time, mine are early 70's & still goin' strong.Got gell cell batteries in 'em that are 7 plus years old just keep 'em charged up & good ta go. Got a Brighteyes 18 volt that I use durin' kill season, that's cause it's lighter, but I don't believe it's any more brighter than the old wheats.
