I think I'll sleep in in the morning, only day off work this week.. and can't really do anything outside anyways..

Or play on the computer. I can read the Bloodlines in 15 minutes but the computer keeps changing. It has just been cold dreary and rainy here. I would rather have the snow. But you can keep the frigid temps.

Just got to the back page of mine

while listening to the NASCAR awards banquet. 11 right now and not to suppose it get above freezing in the next week. Nothing on the ground. At least we are better off than a lot of the country.

I should have stayed home but couldn't help myself. I was like a little kid wanting to play in the snow. We now have 6 inchs of snow and it's 20 degrees. Took Boone out and we turned loose in a pretty big section of timber. He logged 3.54 miles on the Garmin working up and down hollers and over ridges. We caught him on the other side a while later and not one bark , I guess the coons were not as excited as I was about the snow . I guess I should have stayed at home to read the Bloodlines.

Well, we've got 16.4 below at the house,

and they say -29 wind chill. A little town north of us has an air temp of -29!! I know a few guys that hunt bobcats there so they maybe reading this morning. Didn't get to read just yet, last night my youngest daughter had a problem with their door opener so they couldn't get their vehicles inside so I got that fixed, a guy can work a little faster in these temps!! Now I'm heading out to give the hounds a little extra feed this morning and work on my darn blower behind the tractor. More snow coming tomorrow so it has to work.

Just when I got to thinking of how bad the weather is here, they show pictures of the Philippines and it makes a guy look up and just say "Thank you" for giving me this Great Day.

Tim MACHA---how's that picture look on the wall???

It is 39 degrees and cloudy here, no wind, no freezing rain, no sleet, no snow. But we don't have any coons either.

Looks good. After the auction, I got Lisa to stand with me with the print for a photo. She then wrote this note:
This is a print from a water color picture that my Aunt Bess painted for my mom and dad in 1979. It has been hanging in our home for my entire life. I made copies for the American Redbone Assn. auction because it has always been a fond memory for me since I can remember. I wanted to share this with everyone because I feel that the picture just promotes all the love and joy we put into the sport and pleasure of raising and training our hounds. Lisa Key

Tim--Roger---

Tim, that was a very nice note she wrote. I always looked forward to seeing the Keys at ARCA Days. They were a TEAM that had some very nice hounds over the years.

Roger, I guess I like those hounds that don't go 3 miles and just lucky to have hunted the same land for 50+ years so I am also lucky to drop where the coon are feeding and have some sorry hounds that also get lucky.
