My old blues are cold nosed, but drive tracks with there heads up and get it done fast. You can have the same in a walker, just go find it.
I like a dog that can run any type of track, hot, medium, or cold! Notice I said run, not BOO or GRUB around all night, freezing you to death trying to line a track out. Yet I have seen some VERY ACCURATE hot nosed dogs as well. Most of them will get through the country, slam a hot track, tree, and have the MEAT. I had one like that, treed a lot of coons with him. Racked up a lot of miles walking to him, but he was very accurate, ended up selling him for a pretty good chunk of change. Hot, Medium, or cold nosed means nothing if they can't finish their track with a COON.
