Not so happy with my DC50

It seems like almost every night it will drop signal and then pick it right back up. Running 30s and 40s right with it and they never drop. Every time it is within 400 yards.

Hold the On/Off switch down until it cuts off and it should reset.

Mine does the same . Almost like it's over sensitive to ditches & gully's . Always comes back nearly immediately and hasn't been a problem except for irritating me .

Same exact thing here! Mine almost always shows weak GPS reception when you look at the dog info page.
Hunted with a guy last night that had bought a 320 and DC50 that day. I looked at the dog info page on his collar and I be derned if his collar was not showing poor GPS reception too.
The 30 collars were plugging along at full signal.

You guys running these DC50 collars, the next time you are hunting, occasionally look on the dog info page and see if you generally have "half" GPS signal strength on the collar.
I am not talking about collar to 320 reception, I am talking about the strength the collar is reporting that it has on the satellite telemetry. I wouldnt be surprised if it was generally about half strength if not worse!

I have that problem here w 320 and 30s 40s. Lucky if I get any signal past 600yd w 40 and past 8-900yd w 30. I have long range on both hand held and collars.

Weak signal past couple hundred yards.

The first part of your comment seems to be referring to connection between the hand held and the collar.
I am strictly talking about the signal report the collar is telling the hand held that it has on satellite telemetry.
Both DC50 collars I have dealt with shows they have poor GPS reception.

I was told that the main difference between the 40 and the 50 was moving the satellite antenna to the top of the collar to get better reception. When I look at the GPS signal, it is usually not full bars. Hopefully there will be an update to correct that.
