This is a little misleading I think. UKC has always restricted how many events a club can have because yes, we also agree that too many events is not healthy for the sport. And with that I'll make two points. 1) I'm not sure if they other registries restrict how many events a club can have but if they do, I'm pretty sure it's not as restrictive as UKC is. And 2) every time a club that is limited out on UKC dates calls in requesting a date and we have to refuse them, they almost always respond with, "Fine, we'll call Registry X." So clubs, not just registries, must share the responsibility that there are too many events.
I think UKC deserves a little credit in this respect because we could certainly sell more hunt licenses but in our opinion that is not in our best interest.
