"It's a shame"

I talked to an old friend in Kentucky this morning and he told me the "Grand daddy of all World Hunts" was going on at the Dix River club and they had less than 30 entries. I'm old enough to remember when there would be 500, several of us used to take a weeks vacation and take our families, I came close a couple of times but was never fortunate enough to win it. Have a lot of good memories of hunts with John Monroe, Joe House, Jim Merchant, etc.

Tom

I was a youngster when it came to Duquion Illinois. They hunted 680+ dogs. man it was the biggest event I had been to in my life. I still can remember every detail of the things I experienced.

I think the egos of those running it has interfered with what they are trying to accomplish.

I live in the next county I was a little disappointed with the turn out but locally it's not a big org ukc is the main deal. A couple local clubs have now got on the wagon with ACHA but next year should hold a better turn out. Plus ACHA was against paying guides which in my opion make or break a hunt no coons no win. They did finally pay $20 for non hunting if u hunted no money
