I have leased a few over the years and more than likely won't again. I leased an older female that was a proven reproducer. Just after having her pups, her liver and kidneys shut down and she passed. I believe she was 8 years old . Hand raised the pups. There's nothing that makes one feel worse than having to call the one that owned the female and give him the news. One never knows the full outcome and things do happen. I leased this female for a $1000 and it cost me $1600 at the clinic before she passed. Just some things to think about and I would talk over with owner of female and have put in writing when deal is done!! You can get them bred and have pups, but also have problems during or after whelping which should be discussed and agreed upon before deal is done!! JMO! Good luck with it!!
