I want to take a minute to express my thanks to UKC this past weekend. It was extremely hot and humid and at various times throughout the day I noticed UKC staff patrolling the grounds making sure the hounds had water and adequate shade.

I did a couple "drive bys" as well throughout the fairgrounds and don't remember seeing an ill dog all weekend.

Thanks UKC ~ looking forward to next year!

that's good, but they must have missed the far right field where lots of ppl were just parking and setting up. there were many, many dogs tied directly out in sun w/o shade and all were panting hard. they had bowls but dont know what was in them. most were walkers but some B&Ts. ppl need to realize the sun is very hard on a dark coat. I am still puzzled after all these years why ppl can spend a few $$ on a tent knowing they will be out in the sun to protect the dogs. guess some things never change.

We were camping this weekend and also saw a conservation officer driving around looking at dogs
