I understand that I can count on one hand and probably cut a finger or two off and count the number of people I actually know here on this board but in a time of need I am not to good to ask for help and differences of opinion aside this board is full of great people. I don't ask for much but if I could get a small mention in your prayers for my mom I'd greatly appreciate it. My mom is having open heart surgery today for valve replacement and to fix two blockages. I have great confidence in the surgeons but a greater confidence in God's plan for my mom albeit here on earth or heaven.

Special thanks to Brad and Ron for the daily devotions even though i dont know either of you. And though I admit to not having read every single post I can say I have went back and read and reread several and I can say they have helped get thru this trying time. Funny how at times i just dont get it and it seems as though its "just a paragraph with words" and the next time it comes thru loud and clear and carries a great lesson/message. Thanks again guys.

Been a long anxious filled day. Mom ended up having triple bypass along with a valve replacement. The good news is Drs say she done very well with the surgery as far as her heart goes. Of course that can change quickly as we all know not everyone accepts new parts to their body but all indications now are good. The bad is that her kidneys were only functioning at 15% before surgery due to what they call stag horn stones. Yes they look like what they sound like and inbedded in her kidney walls and Dr says could be a couple hrs couple days couple months but she will end up on dialysis. But as of now they are doing better than they ever expected as far as function goes. Before the heart attack she was scheduled for 6-8 surgeries on her kidneys over a 12-16 week period. Obviously that's on hold now so as far as overall health she has a very long but doable road ahead. All prayers were greatly appreciated and small prayer here and there moving forward will be very much appreciated as well. Thanks to you guys and gals here for support. It shows that even though there are differences of opinion on here and thing sometimes can get heated that a group of folks can put all that aside to come together to help someone out that they have never met and in all likelihood never will and still offer friendship. You folks truly are great.
